1. About this policy
This draft describes the proposed privacy approach for the EgoClip website and early-access enquiries. EgoClip is presented by Harmone and works with UBL on first-person experience projects. Contact us at hello@harmone.ai with privacy questions.
Device recording, contributor onboarding, research participation and paid data submissions require additional notices describing the actual collection and use of that data. This website policy does not authorize recording or sharing your surroundings.
2. Information you provide
When you contact us, you may provide your email address, name, message and information about your enquiry. An early-access form may ask for an email address. Please do not send recordings, payment details, identity documents or sensitive information through a general enquiry.
Before publishing this policy, the operator must confirm which forms actually submit information, where submissions are stored, and which hosting or analytics services collect technical information such as IP addresses, browser details and access logs.
3. How information is used
The proposed purposes are to respond to enquiries, manage requested early-access communications, provide support, operate and protect the website, and meet applicable legal obligations. Information should only be used for purposes disclosed when it is collected. Separate consent or another valid legal basis may be required for additional uses.
4. Sharing and first-person recordings
Website hosting, communications and support providers may process information to deliver their services. The actual providers and recipient categories must be confirmed before this policy takes effect. Information may also need to be disclosed where required by law.
Participation in a UBL project must be covered by a separate notice and agreement identifying the recordings collected, recipients, AI training or research uses, rights granted, compensation, and limits on withdrawal after delivery. Joining an early-access list does not grant a license to recordings.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
The final policy must describe the cookies, local storage, analytics and other tracking tools actually in use, their purposes and available controls. Where consent is required, optional tracking must wait for that consent. Browser settings may let you block or remove cookies.
6. Retention and security
The final policy must state the retention periods or criteria for enquiry records, early-access data and technical logs. Appropriate safeguards should reflect the information being processed; no online system can guarantee complete security. Recording retention and downstream deletion limits must be explained separately before participation.
7. Your choices and rights
You can contact hello@harmone.ai to ask about your information or stop requested updates. Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of information, object to or restrict processing, or withdraw consent. Identity verification may be necessary to handle a request.
If California privacy law applies to the operator, the final notice must explain applicable rights, request methods, sale or sharing practices, and relevant opt-out controls. Additional regional disclosures, complaint routes and international transfer safeguards must be completed where applicable.
8. Children and other people’s privacy
The proposed early-access program is intended for adults. Do not submit information about children or recordings of other people through this website. Contributor eligibility, age verification and consent requirements must be defined before a recording program launches.
